It's back! Long standing patrons at Soul
Food know that my husband Darryl and I walked
the cancer path when he was diagnosed with bowel cancer in June
2000. Three years later it has returned and we are back on the cancer
treadmill.
I have been deeply touched by the outpouring
of love and support that has come since I alerted all the people
who have been associated with Soul Food of the fresh diagnosis.
I have been particularly touched by the image of someone being awake,
somewhere in the world, holding us in their thoughts, lighting candles
in order to keep hope alive. The internet provides a very special
vehicle for self expression and enables support of a rare kind.
Help maintain the candle of hope that
is burning at Soul Food by joining me deep within Lemuria,
the rich world I am retreating to for solace and support during
this dark, stormy time. Last time words triumphed and now, as I
face it all over again I have faith that words will enable us to
triumph once more.

When the going gets tough or some rain
falls in the day a chocolate can provide tactile comfort. Since
my husbands bowel cancer diagnosis our lives changed. We have learned
the importance of nurturing yourself and living in the present moment.
This
chocolate box leads you to safe havens, inspirational writing
and exercises that will help nourish your spirit during the tough
times. They help you to affirm life.
Create your chocolate box notebook where
you can safely express your doubts, fears, joy, anger. To begin
take a chocolate from the box by using your mouse and clicking the
morsel of your choice. Let the link take you to far away places
and find comfort. Remember that this site promotes investment in
the bank of human kindness, a bank that provides the best interest
there is. No money ever changes hands here. If you gain inspiration
you could send a chocolate to this box, make a donation to Cancer
Research or volunteer at a Palliative Care Unit.
