Muse Hymn Box

Frances Sbrocchi shares her intimacy with the muse

I hear you
and alien sounds of shore
and mountain grow plain

You know them
for these waters
washed your childhood's secrets

Mists cloak my strangeness
make pearls
for your singing

You have
sung mountains
and waves and I have ridden through your forest unharmed

Your shadow has left the road open
and a carved cedar sign
on the gate
